Interested in knowing what exactly is Linux..Ever wondered of making a supercomputer which can run any complex calculation within a small duration.. Well here we have arranged a three day workshop just for newbies.. Here we are going to teach you how to install most popular Linux based operating system, Ubuntu as well as the most advanced topic “How to make your own small scale supercomputer” which is never taught till now. The main motive behind teaching this topic is that students should know the latest technology. As the trend of cloud computing is arriving in various sectors, students should know the methods of clustering.

  16. 16. If submissions contain content intended for a mature audience, please post a warning at the beginning of your film. Avoid using explicit content, violence or foul language. (If required, censorship must be used.).

Aqua Robo- Water Bot competition


Here we have a competition on water based manual robot. The details of the event are as following:-

ENTRY FEES: Rs. 120/- Per team.



RULES OF EVENT

  1. 1. Maximum number of members in each team: 4

  2. 2. The competition will be held in two rounds

  • Elimination round

  • Final round


  1. 3. Elimination round

  • a. In the elimination round, the robot has to complete the track in the tank, in minimum time.

  • b. Certain number of teams completing the track successfully, in minimum time will be shortlisted for the final
    round.

  • c. The robot will have to start from starting point and has to reach the end point in minimum possible time so
    as to clear the elimination round.

  1. 4. Final Round

  • a. This is the one on one round where two teams will compete with each other at a time.

  • b. The objective of the final round is to score maximum points at the end of the allotted time. Teams will have
    to score points by collecting the balls from arena and depositing them in their respective starting zones    .

  • c. There will be three different colored balls. Three white, two yellow and one red having 10, 20 and 50
    points each respectively.

  1. 5. The robot should fit within the box of 30 x 30 cm; failing to which the robot will be disqualified.

  2. 6. The tank is around 3.5m x 2.5m x 0.4m (lxbxh) in dimensions.

  3. 7. Maximum voltage allowed = 30V.

  4. 8. The control of the robot can be wired or wireless.

  5. 9. Intentional damage to opponent’s robot may be considered as a violation leading to disqualification.

  6. 10. Maximum of two hand touch is allowed.

  7. 11. No two teams can participate with the same robot.

  8. 12. All rules are subject to change at the discretion of the AQUAROBO organizers.

Robotrick is a manual robot competition. In this competition the participants have to control their robot and complete the specified task manually and in least time.

If participants participate in both ROBOTRIC and ROBORUGBY then only Rs.200. That is in Rs.200 the same bot can participate in both the events.

  8. The BOT will be placed to the previous checkpoint attained, in case of hand touch or BOT falling down off the track.

  9. Damage to the track will result in immediate disqualification of the participating team.

  10. The decision(s) of the organizers will be final and binding.

  11. Organizers’ reserve rights to disqualify any team for their misbehaviour.



  • We will be providing 30V DC power supply.



  • The participants should report the organizers well before 15 minutes of their round.



  • CHANGES: All rules are subject to change at the discretion of the ROBORACE organizers. All decisions of the ROBORACE organizers are final, except those that change.

  • TRACK DESCRIPTION:

  1. ROUND 1: The participants completing the track in a least time will be allowed for next round . Every team will be allowed to make 3 hand touches . There will be 2 checkpoints on the track. The bot will face 1st hurdle with inclination of 30 degrees, and declination is of 35 degree . The bot failing to compete the 1st hurdle will start from starting point . The 2nd hurdle is moving block. After 2nd hurdle, there is a pit in a track. After that, the bot will have to make sure that they put the ball in specified hole. The BOT which will touch the finishing line, will be considered for next round.

  2. ROUND 2: The participants completing the track in a least time will be allowed for final round . Every team will be allowed to make 3 hand touches . There will be 2 checkpoints on the track. At first corner, there will be a glass plate. After it, there are little ups and downs (refer the diagram given below). While declining there is pit. This is 1st hurdle for this track. The 2nd hurdle is 3 moving pendulums. The 3rd hurdle will be speed breaker. And 4th hurdle will be a slope having spiral shape.

  3. ROUND 3: this is a knockout round as well as Championship round. 2 bots will complete at a same time to gain winning position first. While completing the track, teams are allowed to make their bots fight with opponent. Only 3 hand touches are allowed. Bot starting from position (A) will touch the flag (A) and that from (B) will touch the flag (B). Bot falling from the track before touching the flag will start from the beginning. After touching the flag, it will be the checkpoint for further track completion. For touching the flag, bot will have to cross the circulating disk and sand tank. Final flag is the winning position. For winning the round the BOT can have robowar but not to damage the track as well as the opponent BOT.

  4. In case of hand touches or BOT falling off the track, the BOT will start from previously attained CHECKPOINT. The checkpoints are shown in track design.

  5. All the dimensions, size, height and slopes of the regarding hurdle is shown in track design.

JUNKYARD WARS


ENTRY FEES : Rs 150.

PRIZES:

CASH PRIZE: 1st PRIZE: Rs. 2000.

2nd PRIZE: Rs. 1000.

  • All participants must have a valid identity card of their respective academic institute.

  • The task will be provided on the spot by the event organizers.

  • Participants are supposed to report at least 1 hour prior to commencement of their event.

  • The event comprises of two rounds:- (i)elimination round, (ii)final round

  • The heavy tools will be provided by the organizers. (wielding machine, drill machine etc).

  • The participant must bring their own toolkit.

  • Tools carried with participants are needed to be approved by coordinator for sake of equality among participants in competition. Coordinator reserve all right to reject the use of any particular tool.

  • Only one member of a team is supposed to leave at the time for engineering help time.

  • Engineering time allotted is 30 minutes.

  • All the elements for a given task are required to be taken from the junk allotted. If any device other than the junk provided is found in the assembled machine, the team will be immediately disqualified.

  • No extra time will be allotted over the total time. I.e. 3 hours.

  • A fair and healthy competition is expected from all the participants in the event.

  • Certificate of participation will be awarded to every participant.
